Chatterpix is an app that can be used on an iPhone of iPad that allows you to record your voice over a picture of your choice. For this badge, I used it as an introduction video welcoming my class to middle school math!
Smore Badge
The Smore page welcomes all parents and students to my open house. In addition, it addresses needed school supplies and simple classroom rules. This tool is a great way to get announcements out to parents as well as the students!
Concept Map Badge
For my Concept Map Badge, I used the Popplet app on the iPad to create a map teaching the basic concepts of linear equations. This map is very organized and can help teach students the different types of linear equations.
Screencasting Badge
The screencasting badge shows the students how to complete the webquest that I have made for them. This resource can be used to help students understand the instructions of their lesson in addition to how to use the resource being provided.
EDpuzzle Badge
The EDpuzzle badge is a great way to quiz students on valuable information that should be retained while watching a video. This resource can be used on multiple occasions throughout the classroom. It can be used for review, homework, and class discussions.
Rubric Badge
The rubric badge displays a simple rubric for a review assignment. This badge is useful when creating a detailed rubric to cover all necessary standards on a specific topic. It helps teachers and educators evaluate all students equally.
Production Badge
For my production badge, I created an instructional video for beebots as an intro for my computational thinking lesson plan. The video takes you through a step by step process of what a beebot is and how it works!
Infographics Badge
The infographics badge is similar to a newsletter. It can be used to display information in a more creative way than a tradition notes sheet. In addition, they tend to capture the audience's attention compared to normal graphs and information.
Jeopardy Badge
The Jeopardy badge is very similar to the real Jeopardy game on television! It is a fun way to help students review for a quiz or test. I have created this game so students can review their pre-algebra skills.
Pinterest Badge
The Pinterest badge is a creative way to bring new resources and activities to the classroom. Tons of people have already created fun and easy activities for all age and grade levels.
Instructional Robot Badge
The Instructional Robot Badge is used to incorporate robots with learning activities in the classroom. I have created a video describing how to use the robot and the activity it is being used for.
